The rumours about where Charlie "Nero" Zwarg will be moving to for the 2021 Overwatch League season have been plentiful. We recently even reported on a claim about Nero and his former co-DPS star Jungwoo "Happy" Lee heading to the Houston Outlaws, which was looking pretty accurate when Happy was officially announced to be signing with the organisation.
However, Nero will not be sticking with his former DPS ally, instead he will officially (obviously pending League approval) be joining the two-time championship team, the San Francisco Shock. The announcement was made over Twitter by the Shock revealing the signing, further building out the already stacked team line-up, which lost two core members this offseason, in Dongjun "Rascal" Kim and Grant "Moth" Espe.
On top of this, former London Spitfire DPS star, and one of the most promising young players to join the League, Lim "Glister" Gil-seong will also be part of the Shock for the 2021 season. Essentially now, the Shock has one of, if not the strongest DPS spreads across every team, making them, once again a huge threat in the running for the championship.
The Shock is still arguably the strongest looking team in the League, and have even made a few moves to ensure their line-up performs to the degree of securing a three-peat run, in the addition of Brice "FDGoD" Monsçavoir and Sean "ta1yo" Taiyo Henderson.
Do you think the Shock can take a third back-to-back championship?
